Labor Day Weekend Haul !

Finally ! A 3-day weekend has arrived and couldn't have got here in a more perfect timing. It is also a payday weekend and I am extremely excited to share new items I bought this weekend. I didn't buy a lot, but I am still happy with what I bought. On Saturday I finally invested in a lamp so ill probably do more video tutorials on my youtube.com channel soon because I have better lighting. Besides that I also went cardigan shopping, but that wasn't much of a success. My search for a purple;yellow;pink cardigan is still on-going, but I did buy a light brown almost khaki colored long sleeve that is super comfortable and its great for now since I don't have a brown one yet. I also bought this really cute crochet knitted vest, I will post pictures later. Another great healthy thing I did was re-stock my refrigerator with more Silk Soy Milk. yay ! I'll be back on my health diet thing again and to test out if soy milk really makes your boobs bigger??? What are your thoughts on that??? Well, anyways, I also bought more nail decor and super cute nails that deserve to be in the category of "kawaii" ! XD ! Besides that I am also satisfied because I drank my yummy BLUEBERRY MATCHA 3 nights in a row which may be kind of bad, but I was craving it. I'll post a blog about it on my other blog page about my personal everyday life for those who don't know how a Matcha tastes and my love for it. I also purchased these super cute unique hair clips and a few deco products. ^-^

I purchased the Sally Hansen products from KMart and these cute Japanese nails from a store at our local Mall. The decor/nail decals I bought at a new fashion store in Tumon.

These were the clips I was mentioning earlier. I will post a picture when I use them. All you have to do is stretch them because they are like springs and attach them to your hair and let go and it automatically tightens and to remove just do the same thing. They stay on your hair and don't tangle and they are cute !

A cute deco phone strap I bought at one of my favorite stores called 'Art Box'. Most of my "kawaii" products I purchase from them and the Japanese lady who owns it is super nice and always gives discount and she is bunch of fun. I am also in the process of going back into making these items as another hobby so I should have another thing to blog about. What can I say, I'm going through a creative peak in my life.

I also purchased another cocktail ring. I am actually supposed to wait till I go back to the Philippines this January, but I couldn't help it. I had to have it. I also tried my new Japanese nails. I had to file them shorter though because they were kind of long and I prefer more short nails.

Nail Art !

I have a new hobby and I guess you can call it another slight addiction of mine. Well, I am getting into the art of doing nails. For now I buy pre-made false nails and I rock a new design every week just so I can get used to the idea of having longer thicker nails on. I am also currently in the process of ordering and buying my own acrylic supplies such as powders, brushes, tips, etc. I want to go further and learn to apply acrylic nails myself and add the gems or jewels or even make my own designs. Some people may ask, "why don't you just stick to your natural nails and paint a design yourself?" My answer, "I really suck at painting designs, but I do practice, but for now I'll stick to this because this is what I want." I was actually never into doing my nails before because I didn't want anyone to pay any attention to them, but I guess I had a sudden change of heart. It could be because of my interest of Taiwanese actress, Rainie Yang. I've noticed in all of her music videos she has her nails done and they are really pretty and not too much, but beautiful yet simple. Also, I do live on an island where tourism is what boosts our economy and a lot of the Japanese women who come over here are very pretty. They have their hair nicely colored, make-up, and nails. They are more into the louder crazy designed nails and sometimes they are longer. I prefer mine shorter though like a regular french tip size, but I guess those were my inspirations to start. I also want to own my own business one day in the future and I want to be well rounded in my business so that's why I am learning nails now. I already know hair and make-up, but I want to add on nails as well. My collection and designs are still few, but I am slowly buying more and more. I also change my nail designs every week and I love the feedback I receive from it. ^-^

The nails I currently have on now. These are probably the most simplest nails I have, perfect for everyday, a French Manicure with a little sparkle and that 1 gem added to only 1 finger is a nice touch.

I just bought these yesterday and I know they are not as simple as the ones I've been buying lately, but I had to buy it because it reminded me of Rainie Yang's nails on one of her music videos. Maybe I'll use these next week and let's see what kind of feedback I receive.

After I have more practice I plan on accomplishing these designs or at least buy nails exactly like these. Some of them may be a bit extreme, but I really adore them. What do you think about their beauty???

If finger nails can look beautiful so can toes.

Color Change for Fall2010 Semester !

Every school year or semester I like to start fresh and do something new. I've pretty much experimented a lot of with my hair, by changing my hair style;cut;color and I'm pretty much known for that since I was in elementary school. I was voted "Best Hairstyle" a couple of times for superlatives and I have my mom and sisters to thank for that since they loved playing with my hair and braiding it and trying different styles. I was such a tomboy when I was little that I hated it, but now that I'm older and more well you can call it refined and classier I liked it. Last semester I had my long beautiful hair chopped off till my neck area and added Mocha high lights all over my hair. I rocked it for a while and was liking it because I never usually have blonde in my hair, but I grew tired of seeing it everyday. School is starting in 2 weeks and my mom asked me, "are you going to cut your hair again?" I was really debating if I should, but honestly even with this hot humid weather I miss and will always love my long hair so I think I want to grow it out especially I would like my hair really long for my wedding day. I decided to take out all that blonde and instead of leaving it black and sort of boring I now have reddish brown hair. I really like it, although I wish it turned out a little bit lighter, but I'm thinking of going back in a few weeks for a touch-up and maybe it will be lighter. I can't wait. ^-^

It really shows a lot more in the sunlight and so far this is after I conditioned my hair twice and to me it has gotten lighter so I'm even more happy with the results.

Pinky Purple Mix Eyes !

Today I woke up earlier than usual from some errands and do some grocery shopping as well too. I decided to do a new look with my eyeshadow using 4 colors all from the COASTAL SCENTS 88 PALETTE. I didn't take a picture of the exact colors I used nor did I record myself doing it. I don't have all that great camera quality so for now pictures will do, but you know what they say, "a picture says a thousand words", right?!? But, you don't even have to copy the exact same colors I used to create the same or almost same look. Just use a WHITE SHADE for the brow bone highlight ; MEDIUM PINK SHADE for all over the eyelid ; BLEND 2 OF THE DARKEST PURPLE SHADES for the crease of your eye. Then line with a liquid liner and a long lash lasting mascara(I don't use false eyelashes because since I'm still new at this I don't really know how to put it on). I hope you like the way it turned out because I did and purple is one of my favorite colors too. ^-^
PURPLE PINK MIX !

I didn't really have an inspiration or idea it was going to turn out like this, so my name for it isn't so catchy. I just decided to be "girly" and mixed colors and I ended up liking it.

Made with LOVE !

Who is Whitney Eve???

Whitney Eve is Whitney Port's clothing line, so now you know who I am talking about. Of course she is none other than the star of 'The City'. In this past season of 'The City' she premiered her very own clothing line. Her line is a mixture of colors with her own unique style added to them. The clothing she rocks since we saw her first on the 'The Hills' is sort of how her clothing line turned out. So, you can say it really is 'Whitney Eve'. I love her since her first appearance on 'The Hills', she was not into any of the stoopid pointless drama on that show and I was glad to hear that she had left the show and made her own show based on her career which I liked. She as well as Lauren Conrad "LC" actually "grew up" which is why those 2 are my favorite actresses on the shows, but this blog is for Whitney's clothing line because it has caught my eye since it was first premiered. ^-^

Some of the clothing that caught my attention from the 'Whitney Eve, made with love' line.

Himegyaru Hair !

I MISS MY LONG HAIR ! I just wanted to put that out there because I miss doing the 'HIMEGYARU' hairstyle. I was googling some looks and different hairstyles in the Asian genre and it made me miss my long locks even more. My curling iron and flat iron have been neglected for months now and I think I should start getting back into it. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret chopping off most of my hair, but I am honest that I do miss it and wish it could grow back faster. So ask me, "why did you cut your hair in the first place?" Well, the year just started and I wanted a change and a new look and not just some highlights or change of color, but a new style all together. Plus, here on GUAM it gets very hot and long hair wasn't cutting it at the time. I loved my new "do" it was cooler and different and a lot of people said I looked more mature and sophisticated so I enjoyed it for a few months and now I'm here. Yea, I can curl my short(it's medium length now) hair and style it, but it's just not the same. It's not the full Himegyaru look that I want. But, for now I can just admire and save pictures that I can copy when my hair gets longer. ^-^

This girl was brave ! I love it on her though, wish I was brave enough to pull something like this off. I give her props.

I did a youtube tutorial before I cut my hair on Himegyaru hair and this is how it turned out. Like??? (www.youtube.com/alilimay)

I call this my "super spirals"...I guess you can say I was having a good hair day on this particular day. ^-^

Cocktail Ring Fever !

For a few months now my newest addiction besides make-up has been my craving for costume jewelry. I've always liked accessories and I own a lot of beaded necklaces and pearls, but I decided to change up my style a little bit and add more fun to my everyday wardrobe. I am addicted to COCKTAIL RINGS. I bought my first cocktail ring as part of my 21st birthday wardrobe from EVERBLUE store at the GUAM PREMIER OUTLETS. FOREVER21.com has also satisfied my craving for these precious jewelry. Then when I went to the Philippines I almost couldn't breathe with all the rings and different styles and selections. Being that this was an addiction of mine I went crazy(but not too crazy) and bought some that I wouldn't be able to find here on Guam. I do actually wish I bought more, but since I'll be going back in January there will be new styles and I can buy more. But, for now this is my collection...^-^

This ring was purchased at place called Tendisitas in Manila, Philippines that sells Filipino native products and this was one of the hand-made special rings which was more expensive than the rest because it is a hand-made original. The petals are made from real pearl and shells from the sea.

Eye Shadow LOVE !

"Everyone is BEAUTIFUL naturally"--this statement is very true, but I am one of the few who think make-up is a form of ART. Consider it this way, a painter paints with colors, a sculptor sculpts with clay, and a make-up artist uses colorful eyeshadow to create a masterpiece. With just the right technique and creative blending of colors a beautiful new face emerges enhancing and making one's natural beauty pop out more. I'll be honest I never used to wear make-up and was afraid to put colorful shades on my face, but with the help of friends and youtube gurus I became a student. When I go out from time to time I get good feedback and nice comments that keep me motivated to try more looks and discover new works of art. So far I own 4 palettes that I use almost everyday, but I have yet to try out my newest one that I purchased from the Philippines. I will probably just stick to these palettes for now till I run out of a certain shade then I will just buy a pot to refill them. I don't need a lot of palettes because I'll be honest, I don't use all of the colors although one day I would like to accomplish that goal. ^-^
